Spartanburg is dedicated to the outdoors, and with over 120 miles worth of trails for you and your guys to check out there will always be more to explore for the next time you visit. If you would rather bike than enjoy a hike, then you’re in luck because Spartanburg was the first South Carolina city to be named a Bicycle Friendly Community. From the 102.7 mile journey known as the Assault on Mt. Mitchell, to the Bike Park at The Rail Yard, Spartanburg can be a great place to spend time on two wheels for you and your friends.

Flock Shop is a great place to grab lunch with your friends just outside of downtown. Serving Nashville-style hot chicken, you will be in fried chicken heaven no matter which level of spice you get your food. If you’re looking for recommendations, then grab the Freebird sandwich flock-style for the full experience, and you can’t forget the pimento mac-n-cheese and Rail Trail Pale brewed locally in collaboration with Rockers Brewing Co.
While the Flock Shop may be new to Spartanburg, you can’t go wrong with one of Spartanburg’s more established food staples, Sugar-N-Spice. For over 50 years, this spot has served up a slice of ‘Americana’ with their burgers, just be sure to get yours “a-plenty” for that signature Spartanburg style.
Spend one night of your man-cation treating yourself, and there’s no better way than at The Kennedy. Start your dinner with a round of oysters before you dig into the grilled ribeye cooked to perfection for a dinner you and your stomach won’t forget. It also helps that their drinks menu is chock full of options to start your night on the town off right.
