The program begins with Mozart’s illustrious The Magic Flute Overture. Mozart often left the composition of his overtures for last, so in a way, this piece is a finale within itself.
Next we have Poulenc’s Concerto for Organ featuring Spartanburg’s very own organ aficionado, Brennan Szafron. Finally, our orchestra will engage in a truly magnificent performance of Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 that will leave you on the edge of your seat. We started the season with a celebration, and we’re closing with another! Find inspiration in the soaring melodies and allow yourself to be swept away in the grandeur of this finale.
