May 2: The Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Criterium
Spartanburg’s favorite cycling race and tailgate party returns on May 2, kicking off a major weekend of events in Downtown Spartanburg. The annual CRIT is a closed-circuit, multi-lap bike race twisting and turning through the streets of downtown. This world-class event draws elite cyclists and thousands of fans for the ultimate night of speed and celebration.
Proceeds benefit PAL: Play. Advocate. Live Well., a nonprofit dedicated to transforming Spartanburg County into a vibrant, healthy, and connected community.
The very next day, the Cribbs Kitchen Burger Cook-Off returns for its 10th anniversary, featuring teams cooking and serving up samples of creative burgers, all in the hopes of becoming a permanent menu item at Cribbs Kitchen.
This sizzling celebration of flavor and food supports Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas, with proceeds going directly to children battling cancer.
If burgers aren’t enough, Mezcal is bringing its Cinco de Mayo Fiesta festival back to Barnet Park on May 3. The festival will feature local and international talent, DJs and dancing, food and drinks, and a kids’ zone to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
