Whether you think it’s the most-important meal of the day, or simply the best-tasting (or both!), breakfast brings the opportunity to enjoy a plethora of flavors and dishes.
Check out some of Spartanburg’s very best breakfast options and make plans to start your morning on the right foot.
A longtime Spartanburg favorite, Skillet Restaurant has served customers great breakfast classics like omelets, chicken biscuits, shrimp and grits, and more since 1946. The Skillet, many claim, is a home-away-from-home when it comes to their breakfast options.
Mon Amie is a French morning café located on the Eastside of Spartanburg. The café offers French breakfast items including omelets, crepes, and French toast, and is an ideal spot for upscale breakfast in Spartanburg.
Now located in Inman, the Crepe Factory has one-of-a-kind breakfast items served all day, every day. From beignets to sweet crepes to savory crepes, to quiche, the Crepe Factory is a full neighborhood bistro destined to make all your breakfast dreams come true.
Granny’s Kitchen, also in Inman, serves up classic American diner breakfasts with a welcoming family-friendly environment and affordable options the whole family is bound to enjoy.
Served only on Saturdays and Sundays, Flock Shop’s three brunch options are stellar options for a later breakfast. The current menu features spicy-as-you’d-like chicken and waffles, a mountain of a chicken biscuit, and a breakfast bowl. Flock Shop is a great spot for a low-key meal (with incredible flavor) as the local spot sits in a retro-fitted Crown filling station from the 1950s.
Southern Manners is a charming breakfast restaurant and deli in Landrum. The restaurant provides customizable breakfast options providing a variety of toppings on pancakes and French toast, biscuits with sausage gravy and a jumbo bowl of grits. They also offer vegetarian options with baked oatmeal. Any slice of toast here will be exceptional; all bread at Southern Manners is made fresh and in-house.
Blue Moon Specialty Foods serves breakfast bowls, the Church & Broad sandwich, and quiches, among other popular items. Additionally, the Blue Moon market features casseroles and take-and-bake quiches that make your next at-home breakfast restaurant quality.
Just across the street from Converse University is Eggs Up Grill. This chain has made its way to Spartanburg. Providing omelets, bananas foster French toast, and avocado toast, Eggs Up has appealing options for everyone in the family.
Little River Coffee Bar, the coffee empire of downtown Spartanburg also has some great options for breakfast at all locations. The coffee bar location in the Masonic Temple, The Pharmacy in the Montgomery building, and Fretwell all have delicious bakery items such as scones and biscuits to pair with your coffee. Pharmacy and Fretwell have hot breakfast items like breakfast sandwich and southern classics like biscuits and gravy and grits.
